What we can and can't see
Submitting a code contacts accountycat.com to create your capped OpenRouter key. We keep the code, a random installation ID, redemption time, and the OpenRouter key identifier so we can limit trials and, if needed, top one up. For abuse prevention, a one-way network-address bucket lasts up to 24 hours. After setup, AccountyCat talks directly to OpenRouter: we never receive your screenshots, prompts, goals, or model responses. Screenshots are analyzed on the fly and discarded. It is open source if you want to verify any of this.
When the trial runs out
The trial is a small usage budget, not a subscription. You can see what is left in Settings → AI. When it runs out, add your own OpenRouter key (~$1–5/mo, you pay them directly), switch to the free local model, or email us to request a top-up. AccountyCat itself is always free.
No code, or they've run out?
Codes are limited and may run out while launch is on. Email fb@accountycat.com and we'll send one if any are left. You can always run AccountyCat for free on a local model (no code needed), or with your own OpenRouter key.
